Many would say that painting is in my genes. I grew up in Seattle, Washington where my father was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger. When I was in the 8th grade, Dad brought me along to jobs when I didn’t have school. As a junior, painting became my summer job and I continued to work as often as possible as I went through college. While spending 31 years as a teacher in the public-school system, I painted during the summer months. I took an early retirement and pursued my own painting business in 2018. Painting is quite a contrast from teaching physical education. I moved from a loud busy gym setting to a quiet somewhat secluded worksite, and I find that I love it. Painting is a time for me to think and dream. In the process, I have also realized that I am a very good painter and I enjoy transforming client’s rooms or houses into brighter more pleasant places. I look forward to an opportunity to work for you.
